Terms of Service

These are the terms you agree to by using StudyFrame. They are written to be read, not to be impenetrable. If something here is unclear, ask us at studyframeapp@gmail.com and we will explain it.

1. Who these terms are with

StudyFrame — this website and the StudyFrame Chrome extension — is provided by StudyFrame. By installing the extension or using the tools on this site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.

You must be at least 13 years old to use StudyFrame. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission.

2. What you may do with it

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use StudyFrame for your own studying. That licence lasts as long as you keep to these terms.

You may not:

• Resell, sublicense, rent or redistribute StudyFrame or access to it.
• Share a paid account with people who have not paid for it.
• Reverse-engineer it to get around payment or usage limits.
• Use it to break the law, or to infringe someone else's copyright.
• Attack the service — scraping it at scale, overloading it, or probing it for weaknesses without our written permission.

3. Studying honestly is your responsibility

StudyFrame makes study material and answers questions. You are responsible for following the rules of your school, college or university. Many institutions restrict the use of AI tools in assessed work, and those rules differ between courses and even between assignments.

We do not encourage or support academic dishonesty, and we accept no responsibility for academic consequences arising from how you choose to use the product. If you are unsure whether a tool is permitted for a particular piece of work, ask your instructor before you use it.

4. Purchases

Some features require payment. Prices are shown before you buy and include any taxes we are required to charge.

Payments are handled by Whop, who act as the merchant of record. Your contract for the payment itself is with Whop, and their terms apply alongside these. We never see or store your card details.

Where a subscription is offered, it renews automatically at the interval shown at checkout until you cancel. You can cancel at any time through Whop, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

5. Refunds

StudyFrame is digital software. It is delivered immediately and is usable the moment your payment goes through, so all sales are final and purchases are non-refundable.

This includes, but is not limited to: changing your mind, buying by mistake, forgetting to cancel a subscription before it renewed, not using the product after buying it, and deciding it is not what you wanted.

Cancelling a subscription stops future charges. It does not refund charges already made, and it does not refund the unused remainder of a period you have paid for.

Before you buy, check it works on your computer. StudyFrame depends on Chrome's built-in on-device AI, which needs a recent version of Chrome and a machine that meets Google's hardware requirements. Every paid feature can be tried on the free allowance first, and a free trial is offered inside the extension. We are not able to refund a purchase because the model is unavailable on your hardware, so please confirm it runs before paying.

Exceptions we do honour

Despite the rule above, we will always refund you if:

• You were charged twice for the same thing, or charged after cancelling.
• You were charged through no action of your own — for example, fraud on your card.
• A refund is required by the consumer law that applies to you, as set out below.

If you are in the UK or EU

Consumer law in the UK and EU gives you a 14-day right to cancel a purchase of digital content. That right can be given up, and it is: by completing your purchase you expressly ask for immediate access to StudyFrame and acknowledge that once access begins you lose the right to cancel. This is standard for software that works straight away, and it is the choice you are making at checkout.

Nothing in these terms removes rights you have by law that cannot be given up, including your rights if the product is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.

How to ask

Email studyframeapp@gmail.com with the address you used to buy and what happened. We would far rather fix a problem than argue about eight dollars — if StudyFrame is not working for you, tell us before you ask your bank, and we will try to put it right.

6. Free allowance and limits

StudyFrame includes a daily allowance of free uses. We may change the size of that allowance, and we may change prices. If we raise the price of a subscription you already hold, we will tell you before it takes effect and you can cancel.

7. The product is provided as it is

StudyFrame is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. In particular:

• Answers can be wrong. It uses an AI model, and AI models make confident mistakes. Check anything that matters.
• We do not promise it will always be available, or free of bugs.
• We do not promise it will work on every computer, or with every document.
• Chrome's built-in AI is Google's, not ours, and may change or be withdrawn in ways we do not control.

Your work is stored on your own device. Keeping your own backups of anything important is your responsibility.

8. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including lost marks, lost work, lost time or lost opportunity — arising from your use of StudyFrame. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits. Where that is so, they do not apply to you.

9. Ending it

You can stop using StudyFrame at any time by removing the extension. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, and where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why first.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top will change, and for anything that materially affects your rights we will give notice in the extension before it takes effect. Continuing to use StudyFrame after that means you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in.
